Default 96 Buick Century 3.1

Hey there,
I'm looking to replace the front motor mount on the Buick. I'm have researched some, but no exact info on it or the best way to get the thing replaced.
Are there any good videos or reading info on the subject and what is the level of difficulty on replacing the motor mount?
The mechanic wants 150 to replace it.
Thanks

$150.00 total?

Not bad at all for any mechanic to do anything.

But do you mean the one on top in front? That'* pretty easy.

Default Motor mount

When you do the one near the serpentine belt make sure you put the new one back just how you removed it. I had to remove it to replace my serpentine belt. I screwed it ip because I wasn’t paying attention. Took me an extr 30 mins to complete the mount and belt properly. Have fun☹️.

There is no mount interference on the A-body cars, so the OP wouldn't encounter that. The main engine mount is under the front (timing cover end) of the 3100 in the A-body. You have to remove the belt, the right front wheel, and the inner splash shield. The nuts must be loosened on the 2 transmission mounts and removed on bottom of the engine mount. Lift the engine slightly and the bracket on the front of the engine can then be unbolted from the front of the engine. The bracket and failed mount can then be removed.

Looks like one wish bone. Takes 3 tenths at most.

Yeah, when OP said "front motor mount" for only $150.00, that'* the motor mount I thought of first.

Only $150.00 for a lower?

Seems too good to be true. Before markup, the part is like $25.00. That leaves less than $125.00 for labor, which is less than the hourly rate a lot of places. I can't imagine someone would rack it, lift the engine, swap out the part, and warrantee it for $150.00. The dog bone on top I can imagine.

Thanks for the great info, so I think the best thing for me would be to have the mechanic friend wrench on it and do the repairs for the (I have mount) 150 he quoted me. It'* a job I'd rather let someone better setup do instead of me.
Thank you
