92 Lesabre - gaskets or grommets needed for PCV valve?

I just replaced the PCV valve in my 92 Lesabre and am wondering if something is missing. There were no gaskets, grommets, or sealing mediums of any kind on the old one. Is this normal?

CathedralCub is a splendid one to behold

They don't fit super tight. IF it doesn't feel like it will move enough to rattle, it'* probably fine. Did the old one feel as tight coming out?

The spring on top of it did. The old one was so coated in oil it slid out easily.

So long as the grommet is good and it'* not a loose fit you are good.
