I just picked up a used 2007 Buick Lucerne. (New to me) Got it home, an went about checking it all over. Got in the trunk to make sure the spare tire'* all aired up an find its setting in 4" of water. Bummer. It'* still got warranty left so I run it down to the dealer. A couple hours later, Bill calls me an says it'* all set. Yeaa. I got down there an he shows me two quarter sized peices of tape, (ratty look'in) an says the tape was covering a hole under each taillight. The tape had failed and allowed water to run down inside the trunk. They replaced the tape with a couple of nice tight rubber plugs. I wondered how all that water could git down there, and the trunk matt was neat clean an dry as a bone. Hopefully this is going to cure the trunk tub blues.
