While turning into my driveway, my Terraza stopped pulling. If you put the shifter in D or 3, the engine revs but no movement. If the shifter is in 1 or 2 it takes off normal. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on. It was odd that it just happened out of the blue with no warning. Anything to check without having to pull the transmission?

i had a 93 chevy truck that did that it ended up being the 3rd and 4th bands in the trans. do you know what trans you have in there?

I believe its a 4T65e but not 100% sure.

then could be a solenoid or maybe the accumulator.
sgp358 will be your best bet to get this figured out

Thanks Bill. Luckily that article says that it is more likely to happen with 00-02 models than 03+. I'm still holding out hope but that doesn't make it look good.

Once you get into enough of these...it makes it look really bad.

If the 2-3 solenoid is stuck on, you will only have 1 and 2, 3 and 4 will not work. I'm putting my money on the solenoid. Looking at the service manual that is the only thing I see that will cause no 3 or 4.
