Default 2004 Lesabre Transmission Slipping

Was the problem ever figured out? My 04 lesabre is doing the same exact thing. Say I'm trying to turn right or left and I have to hit the gas to keep from getting t boned by on coming traffic the Trans mission always slips and when it catches it slams into gear. I was told it'* most likely the pressure control solenoid in the transmission and its a pain in the butt to fix.

The tranny appears to act fine during normal driving, however with traction control off, from a dead stop I make a right turn and accelerate hard to get into traffic....the tranny does not engage and appears to "slip". Hard acceleration from a dead stop forward with traction control off provides a "burn out", in other words no slippage. Is there some sort of a sway or tilt sensor that disengages the tranny? Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks in advance!
My 04 lesabre does the same thing I hear it'* the pressure control solenoid.

Welcome Wesson101.
The best place to start is ensuring on level ground, the transmission fluid is at the full line or just slightly above, when hot. DexronVI is the best fluid to use.
As these are electronically controlled, next would be to have the transmission scanned for any stored problem codes. Post back codes found please.
I've had issues on the 4T-65E and the dreaded P1811 may show up, indicating sticking pressure control solenoids, that often can be overcome by installing the TrandGo shift kit.
One additive that I have found that works very well is called Seafoam TransTune. It cleans the solenoids/ valve body pretty good !
