Angry 2002 Lesabre Power Outlets

Recently I brought my car to a local repair facility to have a basic repair done... My issue is that when the car left my 12V Accessory outlets will no longer power down when RAP is lost. used to be after about 10 minutes both 12V outlets would shut down. Now they stay on full time. I have tried to swap the relay that controls this to no avail... I am at a loss at this point and any help would be much appreciated. both outlets still work normally except for this. I know the "Tech" was in both PDCs (as they did not replace the covers) but I do not know what was done to my car to make this happen!

Is there a setting for this in the configurable parameters in the in-dash computer?

Default RE Setting in Insturment cluster module

Unfortunately no. My lesabre is equipped with the upper level DIC, and I have gone through the options/features menu. (Key off press and hold ENG/MET button and turn ignition to ON) but there is no settings for 12V sockets. Some research I was doing shows that there is actually 2 positions for both power outlet fuses. (Three slots on both) Does anyone know the OEM position for these two fuses. I will post a photo to show exactly what I'm looking at. I can only seem to find threads about making full time power to these outlets, so I'm not 100% on the correct positions here.

Default Sometimes thinking aloud....

After grabbing a multimeter from the local auto parts store I have sorted out the problem! Grabbed a multimeter and set to VDC. Took a break for supper, plenty of time for the PCM to go to sleep. Used alternator case as a ground an probed each pin for fuses 22 n 23. Sure enough 2 pins power down after RAP is lost one pin has 12V constant. Placed both fuses in the dead slots and powered up the car. Sockets are alive... few min later both power down and my power inverter and radar shut down as before! So I will post a picture of the OEM positions for these fuses. (Sidenote, if you want full time power, place the fuses into the empty slots in this photo!)

Note that 22 was in the correct position before, as i do not always use my power inverter and only a small LED indicates that it is on i did not notice this. But 23, where my radar is plugged in was in the "wrong" position

Should also mention that slot 23 is the 12V supply to the DLC port. <OBD2>

Default Good to know RAP

Thanks for letting us know about the RAP. I had an earlier model Cadillac that would turn off the RAP AND ENGINE everytime the windshield wipers went on intermittent. Yes, I would have to open the driver door after finding Neutral and hoped I didn't have to break or turn. Something was wrong with the circuit board on the wiper motor for the intermittent wiper control. It took a look of nights reading the four volume encyclopedia Helm Manuals.

Post Manuals

Hello CathedralCub and others!

Would you folks know where I can could find the OEM GM Manuals for my 2002 Buick LeSabre Limited. They were made by HELM, right?
Also, if I happen to find them, should I go for only the 2002 model year or can I use and interpret 2005 model year manuals. Only because that is the only year remotely close I have found anywhere. Still looking here....
