2001 Lesabre - AC clutch not engage
There is winter in Israel now but far away from 4C
I think something like 12-17C
Yesterday I came to the dealer and they checked freon level and it was fine . Sometime it work and sometime it not ... for now it work...

Intermittent electrical fun ! Currently the auto climate control is sending the correct voltage & I have to assume it'* the intermittent wiring /pigtail issue.
The heat from the engine/ exhaust cooks all the pigtail wiring over many years. It took me about 1.25 hours to fix it, with the correct part.
It'* a matter of carefully tracing the wires back though the split loom tubing to remove all the bad & install the new.
Heat shrink tubing, solder and larger split loom tubing was involved here.
I also used new split loom tubing that was smaller in diameter to protect the new pigtail back to join into the 2 main wires involved

Hi everyone
I did an electric test and found that the AC cluch relay don't get a -12vdc in 86 pin , from the schematic draw the pressure switch need to supply it .
What is the next step to found the problem ?

Check fuse #26 -I like to confirm with a VOM/continuity that it is a good working fuse.
The A/C Relay is #32.
For testing purposes you can use the relay beside it- swap them around move # 31 to # 32... & 32 back to 31.
See if this helps..

Thank you
I already tried to swap between them and it'* not worked .
the fuse is OK , in addition , I conected a wire with 30 and 87 and the cluch engaged .
the relay don't get -12vdc from the pressure switch , how can I test it ? In the plug I saw 3 wires

There are only two things that I can think of that may cause the lack power reaching the AC clutch.
1-Low on refrigerant
2- Broken or intermittent wring somewhere along the green wire, connector/pigtail.

This thread is getting old, but tere is no separate low pressure switch on this particular year. It has one transducer located on the compressor that detects both high & low side pressure. If refrigerant is low, the compressor will not engage!
Ah okay. I didn't know they changed back then.
Today I checked the freon pressure , totaly ok .
I noticed for something else but I am not sure , only after the car very warm (+93 celcius) the clutch engage (outside temperature was 18-22 celcius)
any help ?
