My sister has a 2000 Regal LSE. 120k on it. Sounds like a power steering pump. Whines worse when cold, increases with engine RPM and obviously when turning. The usual symptoms. Its not leaking fluid, sounds like the bearing is toast.
Any idea how hard to change, and how much a shop would charge for labor? (She is an hour and a half away in a housing complex, so no way I can do it for her. Just wondering as to what to expect.) Thanks!

it is a royal bitch atleast on my car and from the top. i suppose if you had a lift it would be a whole lot easier. i ran mine till it seized and i had to wrestle the car home. worked like new and i could steer with my pinky till it seized. so she might be fine till you can look at it. the regal has a big wheel. lots of leverage lol.
