I doubt that'* going to happen. It'* starting to stand out a bit more than I'd like. No need for the local cops to take notice. That starts to reduce the fun factor.

What are you going to do to make it stand out less? I vote for sanding the paint in some places.

Choices were LIM and rear valve cover gaskets, radiator hoses, coolant flush etc or wash, wax, subwoofer box, lug nuts, motor mount, trans servcie and other house items.

8am Junkyard run for Bonneville reconstruction parts. All I am missing is the downpipe.
Upon returning home, started laundry and went outside, washed the car.

Subwoofer box project began - put tape up to hold bag in place until foam made the mold of the fender/carpet area. I make a nice cardboard wall to keep the cargo net. Hope it works out like I planned.

Lined it with a plastic trash bag or two, then as I started to fill there was a realization that a outter wall was needed. The foam was not sticking to the bag or standing up well on it'* own. In went an outter wall and the foam was sprayed behind it.

At this point I'm a little uncertain, I had only picked up 2 cans figuring they expanded a lot. They didn't fill very well and I headed back to get more. I returned with another 4 cans. Cut a plus symbol in the cardboard and shot in 2.

Seems better, I wonder if a third ... I went for it.

Uh oh.. I put another bag under this mess and hope it didn't get the carpeting. It'* easy to replace, but I am hoping I didn't kill it.

I've seen even more spew out since. Meanwhile I waxed the car and changed the lug nuts.

In the midst of all this I snapped more pics of where the amplifier is installed for a member on another forum.

I got this metal strip, cut it in half (24") then mounted the amp to the two pieces, held them in place and sheet metal screwed them to the bottom of the deck (paying attention to where the strut tower bar would sit.

Tossed a little more resin on what I hope I can mold into a sub woofer box. With a little string for added support.

I was wondering what you were doing with all the foam... I just masked off the entire trunk and then we glassed right over that.

Looks like you get the same result either way.

I didn't pull my balls out that day and figured a mold was a good way to go. Doing the trunk like you did would have gotten me there quicker with a cleaner box.

Nice foam in the background.

Yes and no..lol

Didn't make any subwoofer progress last night. I did er uh grow the tumor in my head though. More news to come down the road when I have the parts in hand. Til then, they can't be counted. Too many variables in life come up and change my smiles to frowns. Maybe if I keep my mouth shut this time the deal will go through.

Added some junk in the trunk. Got the sub box mostly done. Fiberglass didn't work out, swapped over to mdf.

Need to put the wire connection in the back and then it'll be hooked up and functional.
