2000 LeSabre P0102 Code
Not the best with newer vehicles. my daughter has a 2000 Buick LeSabre 3.8 V6 with a P0102 code. Not sure that'* the root of her problem. When I clear the code idle evens out and runs smooth until service light comes on and reads P0102 code again. Quick youtube search and I meter tested the signal wire - 2.6 volts plugged in and 5.0 unplugged - good battery voltage - I believe this tells me MAF sensor has failed. The bigger issue is when the light comes on the fuel gauge goes to empty and the radio quits working. Both work correctly without code. Battery and cables are nearly new and connections are clean and tight. I can't help but think I have insufficient ground somewhere or would a MAF sensor failure cause these issues? Any help or suggestions what to look for appreciated. I don't have access to a scanner - only a code reader.
I agree, it does sound like a bad ground or otherwise flaky connection somewhere. At the same time, I'm guessing it has a bunch of miles on it since it is 24 years old. If you don't know when the MAF sensor was replaced, I'd suggest replacing it.
How many miles on the car?
How many miles have you owned it?
How old is the battery?
