Default 1997 Buick Pk. Ave Brakes !

Symptom:Brakes one second are fine, next the pedal goes to the floor.
Original Brake master cylinder will be replaced with Part # Raybestos MC390267.
Strange no ABS light on.
I have part a will let the shop deal with it...
Will report back after install & hope for the best. Wish me luck..

Yeah, that sounds like a bad master cylinder to me. Sometimes the seal catches, sometimes not. About ten more tries and it would probably fail all the way.

Good luck!

Thanks CC. Actually brakes still worked diving it for weeks now, but sketchy, not the best idea though.
I hope shop bench bleeds it..if not they may take a while to get air out. Ill tell them to bench bleed it.

Called shop & yes he will bench bleed the master cylinder.
Next is I have no working horn in this car.
It appears that when I replace the 30 amp fuse for the horn, it stays on.
Asking shop to also find a bypass method with a separate horn button on dash.somewhere.
When it rains it pours.

Yeah, my LeSabre and Roadmaster both had this issue. It is the stupid contact membrane baloney that they use for the horn "button" between the exterior skin and the airbag. Glad that'* over with!

Shop got new Raybestos master installed, bench bled. It is a good day. No ABS lights on.
Rear brakes at 40% Front at 60%. What a difference having normal stopping power again !!
