That'* actually kinda weird. My alternator went bad a couple of days ago and my brother in law had one for it. I put it on, but never tested it or anything. I'll check it!

Ding ding ding. We have a winner! The alternator my brother in law gave me was bad. Voltage was good but apparently a regulator inside was bad. Getting a new one ASAP. Thanks for the tip.
