Default 1993 Buick Skylark Gran Sport 3.3L - Oil Pan R&R Question

The oil pan on this engine was dented before the car came into my possession. I decided to replace it, but could not find a step-by-step procedure. It turns out that there is a bracket that obstructs access to four of the oil pan bolts on the passenger side end of the oil pan. I'm posting to ask if this bracket needs to be removed to get to those four bolts. It does not seem possible to get to them, but I could be wrong. My index finger is touching the bracket in the photo. I included another photo pointing to the bracket with the end of a ratchet.

Yeah I don't see another way to get it off. If you're only changing it for that one dent, I wouldn't bother. It doesn't look bad.

Thank you for your reply. I agree. I'm tabling the job until I can get the car on a lift and see exactly what is needed to do the r&r.

Good idea. Personally I'd table that until the oil pan gasket starts leaking more than it is already.
