Unhappy 03 Buick Park Ave 3.8 Parked Idle Issue

I have a base model 03 park ave that just yesterday started having an unusual issue. It starts perfectly, drives perfectly, but when I get to my destination and park, immediately after putting it in park the engine revs several times then dies out. The dash lights dim while it revs but are fine after the engine cuts out.

This is a weird one.

Almost sounds like something might be shorting out . . . ? . . . and since this is when you put it in park, maybe something is shorting against the shift arm on top of the transaxle?

What happens when you start it? Can it idle fine then?

How many miles on it?

How many miles have you owned it?

Any recent trauma or surgery?

When I restart the car it idles fine and drives as it should.
it has about 190k miles and ive owned it for the past 3 or so years.
Nothing has happened to the car and nothing was done except a recent oil change and filter clean out about 3 weeks back

revs to about 2000rpms. If i press the gas gently it will rev to about 3000 and rough idle just below 1000 then stalls out.

I wonder if it is a sticky IAC valve.
