Default 00-05 LeSabre: Location of Instrument Panel Integration Module?

The 00-05 Buick LeSabre wiring diagrams show the following modules on the class 2 bus. I can locate all but the Instrument Panel Integration Module. Does anyone know where this module is located?
- Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC): Daughter board which plugs onto the main instrument Cluster PCB.
- Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM): ? Supposed to be located behind the left side sound insulator but I've yet to locate it.
- Dash Integration Module (DIM): Located behind the Glove box.
- Rear Integration Module (RIM): Located behind the upper drivers side back cushion.

I wish I knew. Some references to the same generation Bonneville say this is the main board on the back of the gauges.

Hopefully someone will chime in here with a good answer!

This photo (I'd prefer to give the guy credit who posted this in a forum but I unfortunately did not retain the person'* name) shows where the IPM should be physically located. I'll be at a bone yard tomorrow, I should be able to reply with more detailed photos. It looks to me that it should be exposed once I lift the dash pad. If so, it does not say much for my powers of observation because I've had the dash pad off on all (3) of my LeSabre'* and never noticed it.

My understanding is that (3) distributed modules work together to perform the traditional BCM functions (DIM, IPC and DIM). In addition possibly the RIM would be a participant in sharing traditional BCM functions. I realize this is a bit vague but I have not yet been able to catalog which module is responsible for which functions but I hope to complete this over the upcoming winter. My primary goal (for now) is to be able to replace any of these modules. I 'think' all will require the recipient car'* VIN to be entered into the serial EEProm except possibly the RIM does not require the VIN (but I will need to confirm). In addition an IPC replacement would need the correct mileage updated in the same EEProm. There are many components which require the VIN to be programmed to include the radio (I attached a document showing the details for how to enter the VIN in the radio). The process for the other modules (which require the VIN) are very similar, the only difference will be to identify the correct serial EEProm generic part number and to locate the VIN, otherwise the steps are pretty much the same.

I'll update the post with more photos for finding the IPM (if the bone yard visit is successful).

00-05? Doesn't the title to the car say what year it is? I can get you a lot of information but it'* specific and not general.

I went by the bone yard yesterday and I disassembled the dash completely on a 2004 Custom (see attached Photos). I'm still unsuccessful at locating the Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM) on the LeSabre'*. The manuals provide various descriptions, all pointing to the left side of the dash, some say left of steering column. I was optimistic that by completely disassembling the dash, I would find it somewhere. I'm going to keep hunting but so far this has been a very elusive module to locate.

photos).

That'* some good work there!

Usually with these, more broken stuff is visible nearby when I take the dash apart this much in a junkyard.
