Congrat'* Scott. Can we expect to see you at Bonnevillefest?
BTW, what color and any clues on what the mods list will be looking like?
Probably hard to guess the mods yet, until you get to know the N* like the L67.
Anyhow, be sure to keep us updated on what our speed-demon GXP is progressing.

I agree with you on #2 - the Bonneville GXP is a very sharp looking car...the nicest in Pontiac'* lineup IMO.

Maybe you should forget #1 Scott and figure out where the cruise control is

Cheers,

BadGXP... Hrm, you sure you wanna race out a nice car like that? j/k....

You better be at the national meet in july, and you better have that sucker running 12'*

Other then that, congrats, you've earned it working hard for the 3800 community, and now you have a whole new bag of worms...

Getting back to the differences in the two motors.

After a bit of digging the cylinder heads are diff. the caddy gets 2 (1.425in) intake valves same as the gxp but the caddy gets 2 (1.42 in) exhaust valves while the gxp only gets 2 (1.102 in) exhaust valves.
Also cadilac has a cam shaft posistion actuator system that allows the ecm to adjust cam shaft timming of all 4 cams while the engine is running, not the gxp.

I would think these two facts might add up to the 25hp drop in the gxp?

the 300hp version uses bigger cams also. its the SLS (also gxp now) vs the STS motor
