We had a post awhile back about warranty items, TSB'* and getting them repaired, Personally mine have all been fixed and the cars has been running sweet with no new problems and feeling pretty good about my GXP again. I wondered if everyone else has had their problems taken care of and if any new ones have arisen? My only peeve now is the constant cleaning of my wheels from the dust. But now that I'm on a driving hiatus I will finally get my ceramic pads on.
( The Hud still wiggles a little on dirt roads but I didnt want my entire dash taken apart.) And I lube my new moon roof deflector probably to much so it doesnt jam and break again.

Good question Venom, I have not had any issues since my last dealer visit. Fogs still work and even that trim piece is still on strong. I never had the HUD issue many have had so at least theres hope. The brake dust issue is not really a car defect in my eyes so when the pads go I will replace them with a ceramic type too.

I had complained about the HUD vibration, however, like Venom I am not thrilled with the idea of having my entire dash ripped apart so I think I will leave it as is.
I am hoping this will be the end to the bad luck with the car. This GXP isnt driven hard and is well taken care of. There is no doubt that I got the Monday or Friday car. Every common problem out there I have had and more.
Also I havent received the extended warranty that I was offered as a result of all my problems. I spoke with the customer satisfaction center about a month ago who called the regional service manager. I was told that he hadnt had time to fill out the paper work (been 2 months now) and that he would be filling it out at the dealership. I called GMPP and there is still nothing on file. The good thing is, is that the warranty offer is on file at the customer satisfaction center. However, I would feel a hell of alot more comfortable once I have the GMPP in my hands.

No Bill they arent ceramic and not sure why but Mr. GoodWrench doesnt stock them for a GXP either. :? They even went as far as to say they didnt know where to get them but would put them on if i provided.......Like i'm gonna pay their rate for something that simple to do.
When I was back in the states last year I purchased ceramic pads and had them installed by the Opel dealer here in Berlin. I just wanted to make sure nothing happened with my warranty and Opel is GM. The dust is a distant memory for the most part but I have heard that semi-metallic pads actually provide better stopping power than ceramics. Anyone have any info on that?

Must be a big rim thing cause my BMWs 19" are full of dust after only 2 days of driving.
