Thanks for all the input guys.... I have decided to go with a reman Long block. I've been looking online comparing prices. anyone have any knowledge of either of these Remanufactures? Standard Auto or PowerSource ? Or reccomend a reasonably priced company?
I tried Jasper and there out of there minds! They want $3200. everyone else is between 1500 and 1900. Even a Brand New one from GM is only $2900.

looks like a very good option. But in ur opinion do u think i would be better off spending an exta 400.00 on a Raman and then i'll have a motor with zero miles. all i have to do it put my SC on it. If i buy used i'm definatly gonna replace the LIM anyway.

i don't have fat pockets...lol but if i gotta spend 1400 on used i might as well spend another 600. on new.
OH... BTW, i just got off the phone with my mechanic and the #1 connecting rod bolt broke. he said it broke the oil line when it let go. i think he means oil passage. i don't know exactly how it'* designed. sounds like my core will be No Good now

That will depend on whether the bolt hit anything. The whole top end should be fine, heads, supercharger, LIM, stuff like that. If you can, part the engine out and sell the parts. This will help you cover your cost of a new engine.

is this where the oil pump attaches?
If so.... i think that got broken.
And YES.... If the block is no good and there gonna charge me for the core. i will sell the heads.(they have 75k miles on them) I will need the SC and LIM to bolt on the new one
