Usually when the bearings go in the hub, they tighten up and start whining. You do have to allow for some play in parts. However if you're moving them in and out an inch or two, that'* a different story.

I finally got to the shop. The SA said that "they aren't right." Seeing as the car is out of warranty, they said that they will do them for $100 a side. My guess is that covers the labor, and the General will provide the Hubs. At $350 a pop I'am verry happy.
