FIlter'* in the gas tank. The Northstar engine'* haven't had a PVC valve since 2001 I believe. Just an orifice under a cam cover that doesn't require maintenance .

I presume you mean removing the positive cable from the battery under the rear seat.
Don't mind doing this if it might help.What would this accomplish other than maybe scrambling the memories in all the on-board computers and making them start from scratch again.?

Thats what it does. Not scramble, just resets all (except possibly some codes that faulted enough times to need it cleared by machine)The car has a relearn procedure thats uses what it current learns vs using history. And this goes for engine operation and tranny. So cleaning the past up could help all. I do it after long trips to to get highway mileage\operation info out. It seems me to help WOT'* and crisper shifting.
