K this whole exhaust & emission BS is pissing me off!!
i just got my car back from GM for the forth time!
before it went it, i scanned and it showed
[PCM] P0137 - HO2S Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 2 (Old) (Immature)
and now 24 hours after getting it from GM, SES is on again and it scanned
[PCM] P0136 - HO2S Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2 (Old) (Current) (Immature)
whats the difference?

It looks like these 2 codes go hand in hand. If the PCM see'* one thing, and then a different symptom for the same sensor, it will trip one code, (history) and then trip another code (current).
From the way I gather it, P0137 is a timed event. It seen low voltage from the O2 sensor for more than 2 mins, and P0136 just means it see'* a low voltage from the sensor.
The above is just a typical O2 sensor repair list.
essentially the same as p0136, p0137 refers to the second oxygen sensor on bank 1. P0137 means the o2 oxygen sensor'* voltage remained low for longer than 2 minutes. This, is interpreted by the ecm as a low voltage condition and sets the mil. Bank 1 sensor 2 is located to the rear of the catalytic converter and should produce an output signal relative to oxygen storage capacity of the catalytic converter. This rear (sensor 2) sensor is less active than the signal produced by the front sensor. However, if the ecm senses the sensor is inactive, this code will set
essentially the same as p0137, a p0136 code refers to the second oxygen sensor on bank 1. The o2 oxygen sensor produces a voltage between .1 mv and .9 mv. The ecm monitors o2 sensor voltage and determines if exhaust is lean or rich. O2 sensor voltage is high when exhaust is rich and low when exhaust is lean. The ecm monitors this voltage and increases or decreases fuelinjector pulsewidth according to engine fuel/air ratio. If the ecm detects low ho2sensor voltage for an extended period, it will set p0136 conditions required to set: Ho2 sensor voltage is low for longer than 2 minutes (minutes depend on model of vehicle. Could be up to 4 minutes)

Replace faulty sensor
Repair exhaust leak near the rear sensor
Check for restriction in catalyst and replace as necessary
Repair short, open, or high resistance on o2 signal circuit

Does your year fall under that safety recall about the oil leak onto the front manifold? That'* a shame. Hate to ask but, you got pics?

maybe i did exaggerate, the fire went right under the driver'* side headlights, i'll post the video when i get a chance, i just hate how everything fails at once

sorry to hear that. that has been my experience with bonnevilles though they all have terrible attitudes, but i cant get my wife to part with ours.

That recall was for earlier years GM Mike and only 3800 powered vehicles. Add to that Bonneville'* were never officially recognized in the recall.
Your air intake tube is right there under the driver headlight Sam, did you have a backfire? Seems real weird there would any gas in that area.

John is right, the recall was for the 3800s only. I remember my GP had a recall about the real mani
& yes, i'm still shocked with how the fire started, its just the air intake tube i have no idea how would that happen, but again i didnt get to see much, but the smoke was coming from the tube or maybe from around it... the car is dropped off again, lets wait and see

That tube that was smoking is the air intake tube to the airbox. The hose from the airpump goes into the secondary airbox on the left side. Mine has had a bit of oil in it that fouled the air filter over time. I wonder if oil got into the primary airbox that air tube runs into. Something is really wrong there.....
