Looking for new rubber meself.

Got the RS-A'* in the front and those are not worth a damn. Been looking at the Goodrich KDW'* and the Contiental DWS'*. The Pirelli Zero Neros are a great deal for what sounds like a nice tire.

I put on 4 tires a several months ago from TireRack. I'm real happy with their performance in the snow.

I just checked, and they're no longer listed.

Instead of the stock size: P235 50 18
I went with a slightly narrower P225 50 18 for about $20 less per tire.
The slightly smaller diameter will only give you about 1mph speedo error at 70mph.

I like to think of it as a "lowering kit", even if it is only 0.2 inches.

LOL. With mine sitting back at OEM height, I have thought about trying some 60 Series to fill the wells a little. But have a shed full of 18x50'* to use up. Including 4 new.

I currently have a set of Centennial Comp Pro'* and am very happy with them. When i need a new set of shoes i think these are what im gunna stay with.

Interesting topic... I was browsing around after reading this wondering if the tires I had on my GP GXP came in the right size for the Bonne. I think I just embarassed myself a bit... the tires that I thought were great on my Grand Prix are listed as summer performance tires. I drove them all year round and thought they were better in snow than these RSAs on the Bonne now. Yikes!

Anyone play with different widths? Will a 255/45/18 fit a Bonne without hitting anywhere?

I would be interested in the fitment issues of this size as well.

I hope to be finding out on this one myself this spring.

I have an 04' GXP with 54K miles. I purchased the car at 33K miles. It'* still wearing its original Goodyear RSA'* and I still have about half the tread life left. The key is to make sure you rotate your tires every 8K to 10K miles and don't over inflate them. I'm not real hard on the tires, but I do enjoy the V8 power plenty of times. My biggest complaint with the tire is that it doesn't bite well on drive pavement with hard take offs. I get what I would call decent traction in the rain and in the snow (I live near Kansas City, MO). I could probably squeeze another winter out of them, but I plan to replace them this fall. I have minimum vibration from one of the four tires (due to wear I'm sure), but all in all, I'm surprised with the performance and logevity I've gotten from the OEM tire. I'd like to replace them with either the Michelin Pilot Sport A/* or the Continental Extreme Contact DWS, but both of these tires are pretty pricey. Depending on funds, I may go back to the Goodyear RSA'*. That'* the only thing they have going for them in my opinion. I purchased some Goodyear Triple Tread tires a couple of years ago and had a lot of "out of round" problems with the tires. Goodyear wouldn't stand behind their warranty, blamed the car, the alignment, etc. (which was all fine before the tires were put on the car). I vowed to never buy another GY tire again.

This might be important for some of you.

Discount Tire will price match tire prices you find ONLINE. I actually found a set of tires on a random place online that was cheaper than TireRack.com, sent them the link, and they gave me the tires at $4 per tire cheaper than what I would have paid online, shipping included. I bought Kumho ASX'* for my Bonneville right before winter came around and the traction was great. My wife'* father'* Hyundai Azera however, had trouble getting up the 500 foot driveway a few times and had to get the shovel out. He'* using some craptastic michelins.

Apparently the Kumho ASX is a very hot selling tire at Discount Tire and it performs very well in all seasons. I can vouch for snow performance, and they were the cheapest tire I could find at the time. They're worth considering.

I'll agree with what Venom said regarding tirerack.com. I would find the best tire for the best price you can find there, then send it to discount tire and have them beat that price in-store. Can't go wrong there.

Because of the buisness I am in, I am often asked different tire/wheel sizes to suggest.
