Ok,

I just spoke to them. That comment

He also confirmed minor changes like speed limiter
was a blanket statement.

I will once I have a New York Minute take my car to a Dyno, With in a 20 minute drive, Send them the PCM and Dyno Numbers for there Flash, Then take the car back to the Dyno and check the increases,

For me thats better then a 37 hours 41 minutes / 2259.31 miles

I will however pick up a used PCM

No cams will ever be available for the LD8. And the chances of getting all the headbolts out intact are dicey

Why would he make a balnket statement if he knows this PCM and enough to overwrite it. So just what are they giving somebody for $500 asked. Why would it take till next spring to actually get engine modifications to it. They originally said a weeks shop time and it would be done??? Which I have serious doubts about. The N* PCM uses readouts from 16 sensors and uses those readouts to constantly relearn on the fly. How d you get around that. And the PCM itself relearns, not the car WTH??? Add that to integration with the TCM. And these people way yonder can deliver something nobody else can?? Do you think a "Spare PCM will just work when you plug it in? Bet not. The whole thing smells to me. I wouldn't give this people my car/PCM or for that matter the time of day. The whole things stinks.

I think you'd get more for your money for this so called performance chip.
http://www.engineperformancechip.com...ce-chip-x2-p-8 ROFL!! Hey, it fits our car, they say guaranteed, woo hoo!!! 50 HP for only $69 bucks!!! Just bypass the Maf with this and your movin....

We know (You and I) what the LD8 is capable of with out a Tune...

Are we shooting blanks here.. I spoke to the guy on the phone and he basically said, We don't need to do this !! We want to do this for the sheer fact they say is can't be done.

I can have a New PCM here friday

dick-swinging contest to prove you can tune the N* PCM, regardless of the actual result? awesome business practice.

I wouldn't go that far to say that.. But I know myself, I like to do things people tell me can't be done...If I could get into this PCM with EFI live I would be in there...

I could put a turbo in the GXP and run 5 PSI all day long.. Anything after that is wasted because of the PCM, If they can tune it so I can run 10PSI + I am ahead of the game.

This is why i prefer the SSEI.. GXP barely outperforms the SSEI, and the aftermarket supports the SSEI and its owners. With a few mods the SSEI beats the GXP..
BUT i know theree is nothing like driving a limited production N* Powered Bonneville.
Now that ive boiled the water in the GXP pond i will see my way out of here.

They have no experience with N* PCM'*. I don't think they can do it. It is unlike almost all others. It is constantly retuning itself/ relearning and integrates this to many other functions including TC/TCM/ABS/etc. I believe overwriting things will just make a big mess of everything. They obviously dont even know the PCM. Making "blankets statements"? What does this mean, they assume it works like others and they will do the same things to it? They dont need it? Well sorry we ask the obvious, and getting back "We will do things that don't need to be/can't be done anyways" and a real tune won't be available till spring." My real take on this is they want a donor car to just plug into and see whats there and play. And haven't a clue or plan in place. The "Big Guns" in N* engines, CHRFAB and Mallet Cars, use either blank Holley Commander or Magneti Marelli PCM'* and Flash their own programs to them. The Holley setup requires some of the sensors changed out and Fabbed to fit the engine. Do you think they would go to the bother and expense (It'* huge) if they could just overwrite the existing. If someone wants to be their guinea pig, go for it. But I don't buy into it in any way.

I have lost the passion to take mine further than it is, and really don't drive it much anymore. Fact is, it is on it'* 3rd tank of gas since the cover came off this spring. I'd sell the Nitrous but prolly couldn't get enough to motivate me to to it. If I wanted to bankroll something worthy, I think the best route would be to live with the PCM, go rear mounted turbo (STS'* version is a sure 6 Lbs), and a high flow MAF. Both are available. And the result would be real difference.
