Missing GXP with ON-STAR
I don't have onstar but if i were too get a car that has it (Gm is making ONstar standard in evry GM car in the near future around 2007) It'* going to led to Big brother stuff knowing exactly where you are and how fast your going example: (automatic tickets for speeding onstar detects your going 65 in a 55 mph zone fowards info to local police with your exact location) essentaly being the one who has total control over your car
I don't know about anyone else but i dont want someone knowing exactly where i am in my car and if im speeding or not.

I highty doubt that you will get speeding tickets from onstar
They can't really give you tickets from onstar, because 1st off they can't prove at all who was driving the car. So the ticket would never hold up because you could just tell them you weren't driving the car that way. But the idea of them knowing where you are at all times scares me.
However, there was a guy on clubGP that figured out how to use his OnStar as a GPS, so he had a nice GPS program on his laptop that he used through his Onstar box, and the best part is he wasn't even suscribed at the time, but the box still makes communication with the satellites so he can still use it. It was a pretty ingenious idea.

Unfortuneately, it doesn't take much to disarm the OnStar system .Since there'* no way for a tehif to know whether th OnStar is active or not in the car about to be jacked, all they have to do is to start the car, turn on and toss in a frequency jammer, and its game over for the OnStar uplink-and the poor owner of the car. They don't even have to turn on or even open the car to deactivate it . Just toss the box on the car, hook to tow truck, drive . Crime comitted. OnStar will discoruage a stupid or careless joyrider of a car theif, but as usual the professionals that drive the crime of car theft are unfazed. The mechanics of how the jammer counters the OnStar uplink signal is kinda long to explain here, and ill talk about it if yall want me to, but the bottom line is, activate it , and pray you don't get hit by a professional crew.If the theif or theives have a frequency jammer, where it'* at in the car or even if it'* activated won't matter. Last week the German Mercedes CEO got his flagship *-class stolen. Had GPS and all the tech security toys money and Daimler-Chrysler could build . Still stolen. And they can't track the car.( they being every German law-enforcement agency!)
It seems even if you encase your car in concrete , it'll still get jacked
