I love both cars. While I haven't driven an SSEi, I have driven a certain someone's Rora. I'm sure the SSEi is quicker of the line, but that wouldn't stop me from getting a Rora if the time and money was right. I could always add an intake and dual Magnaflows.

Rora's are very comfy too. :D

Sure...if you want to wait 7 months until May. Has to be some dealers around you that have some late model SSEi's to test drive though...

I can wait...but they do have an SLE 2000 I wanted to drive. But that's not gonna compare. :lol:

I read a lot of that thread, but not all of it. By the time I was through about half, my brain went numb. Anyway, here are some of my observations that I will share with everyone.

A while back, I sat in a 2003 Aurora 4.0. I liked the elegance of the gauges but I was sad to observe that the wood around the dash looked almost fake to me. However, I was in a 1999 Aurora once and I do not remember thinking the same thing.

I do agree that the features on the earlier Auroras were way ahead of its time. For instance, even the Grand Prix got a DIC computer 3 years before Bonnevilles did. However, for 2000+ Bonnevilles are no longer technologically behind the Aurora.

I do think the Aurora is conveyed as more of a status symbol car than the SSEi is meant to be. However, aside from the more elegant gauges, the V8, and the wood around the dash, the SSEi actually comes with more standard options.

At the end of the day, I really do like the Auroras a lot, but I think that I would miss my SSEi far too much. But, maybe if I had stepped into an Aurora first, I would feel the same way about it?


As an aside, on two occasions an Aurora driver has been disrespectful to my 2000 SSEi. The first occasion was on highway 401 on my way to Ottawa. A 40-something man in a black Aurora 4.0 with chrome rims looked at my (clean) SSEi in disgust when I went by him. The second was on highway 7 early this summer. A 30-something man in a white Aurora 4.0, again with chrome rims, laughed at me when I revved at him jokingly. At green, I destroyed him…only to have him fly by me when I let off the gas at about 70 mph. I guess, in a way, these sort of things hurt Bonne’s ego. :(

LOL..well if you ever see a 24 year old with curly black hair and the music a little to loud...its me...also, I own the only Aurora in Toronto with dual Magnaflow exhaust and quad tips...

Its funny, I still catch up when I see Bonnies on the road to cruze with em, then I hunt old men in their Roras and make em look silly when this straight laced young buck unleashes the fury off the roll...lol
