Default GXP rotors warped!

I despirately need a new set of rotors for my 04 GXP! I dont want to buy a set of OEM rotors since they warped so easily. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of rotors, cross drilled or slotted, I should get and where I might find them at? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My first suggestion would be warranty. After that, slotted, NOT drilled. Try www.rsm-racing.com

drilled is more for cooling while slotted is for better performance from what i've read. drilled rotors (especially cheap one'*) have a decent shot at cracking, giving you a bigger problem than you already have

The car goes in tomorrow to the dealership... I'm just not sure they will cover new rotors under warranty...

Default Do you know how they got warped?

Was there an unusually hard braking experience or just something you noticed? Here in Germany I use my brakes quite a bit living in Berlin and have only about 30% life left in the pads after 8,500 miles in my 2004 GXP. The squeaking and brake dust are pathetic but like I have stated before, I've come to accept it. I have ordered ceramic pads and should have them shortly. But I am curious as to how you think your rotors might have gotten warped. I may want to change out mine also. Do you think it was just a bad set or something else?

That must have been a bad set or overtightened lug nuts because I am hard on my brakes, and I mean real hard. My brakes squeal every now and then just like everyone elses but I have yet to feel any pulsation (warping) from my rotors. Did you remove your wheels to rotate your tires or anything? If you over tighten the lugs or tighten them at different torque ratings the differing pressure will cause the rotors to warp when they heat up.

I have had the wheels rotated.. I believe it was done at wall mart. They very well may have over tightened the lug nuts....
