I'd been getting a really load clicking noise from the left front. I finally checked it and found a bad wheel bearing. Just for fun, here'* a couple pictures after I took the bearing off.

New bearing is on. That also fixed this nagging front vibration that I've had for a while. I always figured it was a tire or balance problem (that I was too cheap to fix). Smooth as glass now.
Next, I need to go after that common problem; steering wheel clicking. Darn it.

I have the exact same problem with my car, yet it only has 11k miles on it. I'm having the dealer check it out in a couple weeks and once that'* fixed (I hope), I'm replacing my rotors with the crossed drilled and slotted ones to go along with my ceramic pads. I'm getting alot of little clunking noises and I feel every little bump and crack in the road directly through the sterring wheel and the gas pedal. I wonder if I also have a problem with the engine/trans mounts or frame bushings.
The steering wheel clicking is something I've had fixed on both my 05 SE and 05 GXP. Dealer tells me it has to do with grease in the mid shaft. I had to have them both done before 36,000 miles. I don't know for sure but I'd bet this is one of those non-recall service bulletin issues that a dealer should fix for free.

Front wheel bearing seems to be a weak spot in these GXP'*. Several in the Forum have failed. Any clicking/clunking heard while turning the steering wheel back and forth at a stop as well as on the go is the intermediate shaft going dry. Whether they replace it or grease it will do the job. Replacing doesnt guarantee it just wont happen again. 37,000 on mine and light clunking.

I did my 2002 Impala a year ago, which I expect is very similar to the GXP. Just greased it and put it back in.
My Camaro is starting to click....

One of life'* embarassing moments...
Without the details.... I ran sideways into a curb so hard, I bent and busted the wheel, wheel bearing, knuckle, strut, and engine cradle, and replaced tire. Insurance paid a crazy amount... $3-4000?
I drove it about 35 miles like that to the body shop. The vibration was outrageous at 40mph max. The tire went flat in two days. I couldn't believe it could hold any air.
