Had my drivers side bearing, hub and left drive shaft replaced this week by GM. Drive shaft howl was egg shaped and would not release the half shaft. I picked up too late last night to drive more than the 3/4 mile from dealer, but will post how well they did soon as I take it out for a spirited run. I had some specifics that I was hunting down and I knew the wheel bearing was suspect, but did not anticipate a half shaft!!

Have you ever had the tires and wheels road force balanced? I'm still having a problem with vibration, but it'* due to a tire that has belt issues. It gives me the exact same problem your having....I just can't afford to replace the tires since there'* only 25k on the car :(
