Default Fastener Part Numbers

Hey guys,

I was under the GXP the other day and noticed a number of fasteners that hold the air dam and the splash shield are gone. Subsequently the painted piece of the nose just in front of the deflector (air dam) is drooping and a little scuffed up from the driveway. Does anyone have the PN'* for the fasteners, also the PN for the air dam would be helpful too as it is probably in need of replacement as well.

As always thanks in advance.

If you take one of the remaining fasteners out, take pictures of the fastener and post the pictures, I will take a look at my stock and see if I have some. I have 30 or 40 sample boxes from several suppliers that make these types of fasteners, and chances are pretty good I will have some. If I do, they are yours for the cost of shipping.

The best resource for part numbers is www.compnine.com. Take a look, and let us know if you can't find the part numbers you are looking for.

Excellent, the site you posted has been a big help already. I'll get out tomorrow and pull a couple fasteners and post pics. I appreciate your help.

Include a few dimensions such as head diameter, pin diameter and overall length. Send me a PM when you post the information.

Actually I found a couple PN'* for the retainers. Fastenal had them in stock locally and I went and picked up a box on my lunch. Just to let everyone know if you need fasteners don't get them in the HELP section at the parts store. I picked up a box of 25 of these GM plastic fasteners for $6.30. You couldn't buy a three pack at the parts store for that (if you could even find the type you were looking for). 2K, thanks for all your help, www.compnine.com is a godsend.

I custom scraped my air dam down to a height I doubt will ever catch on anything.

I haver lost a few of those plastic fasteners myself and it always sends me into a rant. $40K car and they are always falling out. That and the drivers side rocker has come loose from the front fender..... AGAIN!.
