I have a 2004 GXP with about 14,000 miles on it. I recently noticed an annoying squeaking sound coming from the front brakes. I took it to the dealer to check out. The dealer said the brake pads were getting hung up on the pins they slide on and caused the brake pads to wear out prematurely. One of the brake pads was all the way worn out and both rotors were wavy (even the side where the pads were not worn out on was wavy - I find the unusual at only 14,000 miles). The dealer repaired the problem, resurfaced both rotors and replaced the front brake pads, all under the warranty.

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the brakes wearing out sooner than "normal". I am concerned about the brakes since I also have a 2000 Bonneville SE where the first set of brake pads lasted about 42,000 miles (way longer than 14,000).
