Hopefully, if everything moves along at a rate it should, the end of this week. Gotta wait for him to get the tire issue I pointed out fixed, than I gotta take it to my mechanic. Those things, as well as school work and such on my behalf ( :( ) have to come before final agreements and cash exchange. Arg, this is the worst part of buying a car... the technicalities! Oh well, I'm patient, I can wait...

If you want to stay under $200 and you're getting the windows professionally tinted, your money is just about gone! The airbox gut is free, you could add a K&N if you're into those for ~$55... after that you're getting into aftermarket intakes and exhaust. Very similar to Bonneville performance upgrades, actually. Hang out with us at ACNA for awhile, you'll get the idea.

Hehe, I gotcha, and I will The ACNA admin didn't reply to my e-mail and say I was accepted, though. I was waiting for that. There'* a sweet pair of rims on eBay, but I just can't spare a total of $250 right now, even if that'* VERY cheap for a full set. Also, I might just wait on the tint. The paint touch-ups come first, and I fear some of them are bad enough they might require extensive blending :( The roof needs a full repaint, though. That much is certain. And that airbox gut, what are the pros and cons of that? Doesn't it increase cabin noise by a bunch? Just wondering; I like my quiet Thanks again for the info, you guys

You don't have to be "approved" to register for the ACNA forum... contacting the admin is just for providing additional information and becoming a "full member" of the club.

Read these two threads for some recent/ongoing airbox discussions:

(1) "air box mod and etc."
(2) "Air box silencer"

I'm pretty sure I don't have it on, but how do I turn it off in Outlook if it IS?

I find it humorous that they use the RSM pics..lol

Ya it should be fine, but do an exhaust mod or its a waste, the car needs as much air as in can get to feed the 32 vavles.

But you guys said all I needed to do was gut the airbox. You didn't say anything about opening up exhaust too. This is what you meant be "gutting the airbox", right? ****, now I'm confused...
