Default Bearings

Are front bearings supposed to be even a little loose???? My GXP is at the dealer now getting the front left bearing checked.

They are going to replace the bearing but they told me I've got a lot of carbon build up so any ideas that will get rid of it and I've got a brake job to do also, they want to charge me $142 per rotor I can get a whole kit that amount almost anyway.

must be trying to make back the free bearing job, tell them no way. just have them do the warranty work and do the rotors yourself if they really need done.
