I'm not afraid of the 75 shot elmach, it works well and doesnt cause much heat issue, but thats not gonna get me into the power level thats makes a worthy quartermiler. And i was hoping for something to brag about at shows. Still a bad *** street performer.
About the fram rail it and make it RWD, I did some lookin at that......if the 05'* are the same as the 00'*, where the exhaust goes straight down the center of the car would be perfect for a driveshaft!
And just take the transaxle out of a vette (auto or 6 spd
) Then drop an LS7 in, turn it so it sits the right way and BAM!! Bad *** bonne!!! Too bad I'm broke.

The frame rail and RWD was a suggestion from the custom shop but now I see the 4.4L N* has gone from 440Hp to 469Hp in the XLR-V and it does a 0-60 in under 5 seconds. So when the time comes I think a motor swap will be cheaper and easier. And our tranny must have some nads if their bolting that kind of power to it.

469 hp is nice Venom but the question you want to ask yourself is do you want that going through your fron wheels. The cars that have the 4.4 supercharged engine are rear wheel drive not front. With all the money you have spent I think you should consider a rear wheel drive custom swap. You would have a 1 in a million bonneville.
Btw our front transaxxles would not handle anyway nears that much power.

Ya the transaxle would be a big issue. I still look at the new Hp rating of the 4.4L
in awe.It seems the Hp race of the 60'* in on again..And all 3 carmakers have sporty surprises coming. Who'* to say where my mind will be when the present drive train gives it up.I certainly dont a clue. :?

I like the bottom one best
650Hp Twin turbo would do nicely.....Jeeeez ya guys talk like I'm gonna fold this LD8 up tomorrow
Time will tell. And I'm just going to keep an open mind till this N* says no mas. I dont believe any rwd unit will just "fit in " but the shop I deal with makes things fit. An Olds 350 will fit tranversly but as this and other discussions progress I am coming to the realization that I am just asking for additional problems to proceed with FWD after this setup. I really appreciate all the input.
