Its just a display number...it dings about 14 times and a number pops up on the display, chances are thats the 35 that 94Regal is seeing.

The only time I would be pulling codes is if the Check Engine Light comes on

My dads taking the car in on monday.

Looks like he may take it to a mechanic other than Car Canada where he bought the car, find every little wear item, and give them a list to start replacing things. Bumper to bumper unlimited claims, with no deductable owns.

Hey regal, I had An Aurora before, anybody mess with the airbox or TB recently or anything?
Anyways, try the idle learn procedure, very easy, start with car off, put key in the ignition and turn to the ON postition, but don't start the car, wait 30 seconds, then turn OFF for 30, seconds, than back on for 30, than off for 30 again and your done.
This is the Throttle position learn, involved with the IAT sensor. might help you out. Some northstars need an IAT sensor replacement. With a good warrenty like that, I'd bring it in too. Who'* the warrenty through?

Oh ya and the tranny clunking between gears is a tranny problem, mine started becoming noticeable, after 80K or so. I hear it'll be ok for many more miles, just shift hard when cold, I'd try to get a new one If I could, see if they can get you an Autobaun option one too, little extra gearing is always nice. Need to be reflashed with a different vin with autobaun package to work. I looked it up one time, cause mine didn't have it. If it every broke though, it would of gone in.

MONEY BAR DIC- Yeah when it starts dinging and comes up GOING INTO 4-CYCLINDER MODE, you have a heart attack, than says SHUT OFF ENGINE IMMEDITILY. Tops it off, this is what happens when you blow the accessory belt and water pump in aurora. Then start walking.

That DIC is incredible.. it actually reminded me the my turn signal was still on

DING DING RIGHT TURN SIGNAL ON? DING DING 08 08

That 4 cylinder power save is also used for the total loss of coolant, redirects fuel to the cooling systems just in case...

your says 08? mine says "check oil level" or "low engine coolant" or "change oil soon" but ive never had it come up with a code, just like if the SES light comes on, you can't pull it from the DIC, you need a scanner

I dunno what those numbers mean, I know its not a trouble code, just a numeric reminder that comes with the message. So far I have seen

"Check Oil Levels" (cuz Northstars burn 1litre per 5000 kms)
"WIndshield Washer Fluid Low"
"XXXX Door Open"
"Turn Signal On?"
