Well your are right its grinding away.

I wish i knew what it was doing???

I am finishing work on the upper intake manifolds for the series 2 non sc.

Sheetmetal, sheet aluminum.

A few different styles will be offered.

I have a jig coming for a cast aluminum valve covers.

As for the 4.6... Cams are already available for the caddy we just don’t have them up on the site yet. We have blanks being cast so we can redo the cam from the core.

Heads are also available.

We will offer Ross Pistons. Cant beat them.

4.6 Headers are next but I only have so much time.

The welds on these units are just pure art. I will be able to share some close up pictures of welds without showing the full product if you really want to see something. lol

Yes a good bead always gets me going.

Ty

Pontiac has just updated their site in the last week. I've been waiting to see how they were going to present the GXP.

The decision was made to use the Deville-level Northstar back in July, which will result in a cost savings for all buyers. It would have cost GM too much to trim the engine and retool to build it. It will still only be 275HP, but as Ty stated, there is a lot of mods already on the market for this engine. 300-350HP shouldn't be too far behind!!

Yeah...its the de-tuned 4.6L, usually gets 300HP but the GXP is bottled at 275HP, nothing to get discouraged about, thats a lotta pop for this car. The availalbe mods for the GXP and Northstars in general are VERY encouraging

sorry......getting annoyed

its not a DETUNED NORTHSTAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it is the exact same engine that is in the SLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a stronger motor than the STS'*, only the gears make the STS faster! SLS'* had 275hp! GM just wanted to reach the magical 300hp mark, totally messed up the camming on it to do it! don't just look at peak numbers!!!!! the STS has a little more top end, but the SLS will take it off the line any day, even with crappy gears

ty, i thought people had tried the ported and polished heads route with a no go? any new info? a remember a guy a while back tried some of chfrab stuff, cams etc etc and never got the car to run right?

not to mention the labor required in switching heads........step one, remove engine. and you know a bunch of morons are going to just slap the heads right back on there not doing a time sert and eventually cause a hole crap load of problems

you guys should offer stronger headgaskets too, so if someone does go to all the trouble maybe they can get a more than pathetic headgasket back on there.

Here is how it gets settled once and for all: Somebody that lives close to the factory drives there, knocks out a worker on a smoke break and steals his uniform. The person will then sneak into the factory with a camera disguised as a lighter, take pictures of the GXP, and then escape the local authorities with some fancy driving. Volunteers, anyone?

On a different note: Ty, how long till the top intake for the series II? Ill put money on this being a sure seller if its less than repairing a failed one.

sorry, i just get frustrated. its just every is saying, to bad they didn't put the 300hp one in there. when the engine there using is a better setup, everyone just looks at peak numbers, which is why caddy scewed to much with the cams to make it 300hp to begin with

it would be dumb of gm to make a 4.4 and tweak it to do the same as a 4.6, they would waste millions

Default More Updates

More is updated on the pontiac site today...after clicking on bonneville, it now shows SE, SLE, and GXP for the available models.

It does not allow you to 'Build your own' for the GXP yet. (to see the available options or cost)

Getting closer!

Default Hmmm, Getting Better.

Sorry about the double post, but:

After looking at the link for the "build your own" SLE, and modifying it a bit, you can get to the unfinished page for the GXP. Go here if interested:

http://www.pontiac.com/byo/selectCol...&modelId=042&&

Interesting things (to me anyways):

1) Heads-up apparently is not a stock option on the premier bonneville, although you can't tell the price of the option. (yet)

2) A Cargo net costs $45.00? Wow.

3) Auto dual climate control is now an option, unlike previous SSEI'*

4) The seats are now 'leather appointed' Does that mean they are not full leather like current Bonneville'*?

5) They dropped the best looking, sexiest, fastest, color......SILVER!

The HUD has typically been a $300 option in the past.
