Default 2005 GXP CD Changer issue

I'm assuming that when I slide open the CD Changer door that the housing with the 12 CD tray should eject somewhat so I can grab and remove it. However when I open the door the light comes on, but the CD changer stays in. Should I take it to a stereo shop or is there something else I can do?

Of course if I'm not doing something correctly that'd be preferable.

Thanks in advance, and sorry if there'* already topics with this problem.

wow 6-7 months and no one chimed in on this!! Anyway, if it don't eject after you open the door then it'* stuck or broken... Taking it to a shop will do nothing b/c they won't work on it at all! They will try and sell you a whole new car audio system!! I would take a flat head screw driver and try to help it out without breaking anything!! Just a little pressure but don't put too much force on it to break it into pieces..

Thanks, we got it all sorted out. However now either the gauge cluster or speed sensor is broken. The car limps around in second gear and the speedometer doesn't always work. However sometimes the car shifts as normal when the speedometer isn't working as well. Good 'ol GM...
