Default 2004-05 Bonneville GXP Lug Nuts

What was the factory lug nut type for the GXP? Just purchased a 2005 Liquid Silver w/61k. It has "long' acorn type lug nuts but I'm thinking that they should be the double threaded lug nut with a plastic cap.

Thanks,
bob

GXP or atleast mine with the factory wheels doesn't have 2 sided threaded lugs... The lugs are chrome type that just may be a chrome cover, and if it is it'* made onto the lug nut and not the screw on type!!!

My 2001 pink STS (305,xxx + miles) and my 2005 white gold tricoat GXP (150,xxx + miles) both came with the chrome cover double thread lug nuts. Your better off with the chrome acorns - unless your going to a concours show.

That'* what mine came with. But one locking nut shattered an buggered the key insert. Got the other three locking nuts off. Took the GXP to a tire shop and they hammered a removal tool on it to get the rest of the locking nut off.

Can't find OEM spares lug nuts that look like what came with the GXP. Ended up with the double threaded nut and caps.

Go to a wheel store that sells all kinds of chrome and other wheels, as they should have these types of lugs for the GXP that is one piece!!!
