SIRIUS Music streams are Commercial-FREE. AS in, they have ZERO commercials...10-15 more minutes of music EVERY hour. So the extra $2 is WAY more than justified, in my mind. So, in that respect SIRIUS is better.

My SIRIUS unit glows amber so it matches my dash too. Beautiful !

All of XM'* music channels will be commercial free February 1st. Monthly fee will remain the same.

Great. Glad to hear that they both understand that we listeners just want the music. Not the blah-blah-blahs.

I'm still sold on SIRIUS' stream lineup, though. Plus, we've got NBA, NHL, and NFL games as well as some other talk-show exclusives. If I just wanted the music, I'd probably use XM, but I like their other content and programming equally as well.

Nope, SIRIUS music streams are commercial-free.

Their News and Entertainment streams do have commercials. However, they're more like Public Service Announcements than anything. Don't Drink and Drive, Safe-Sex, Eco-Friendly Announcements, Advertising for other SIRIUS streams, etc. as opposed to McDonald'* or Pepsi commercials, etc.

I will say the one cool thing about the commercials on XM is that some information is displayed on the radio itself about the commercial. (like the 800 number to call for more information, or the name of the advertiser or product that is being marketed.0
