would this work? loudest bass for less money?
hi i am thinking of an idea i had one day when i was fixing some breakfast.
i was pondering that if i build a enclosure with 1 s15L7 kicker 15'' sub that i could modify it to sound like i had 4 15'' subs but in reality i would only have one sub and one amp..o.k listen to my idea.....
i have about 6 12'' kicker L7 subs in my basement that are blown from competition. i want to take of the metal frames and magnets off all of them so that its only the cone and rubber surround left then build a box that will hold my 1 15'' L7 on one side and then put 2 12'' kickers ( cone and surround only) on each of the three sides left on the box. the box will be sealed ofcourse .. now it will be 1 15'' L7 being powered by a kicker sx1250.1 and thats all that will be connected thru any power . all the 12'' kickers in my theory should also hit like if they had amps connected because the air movement from the 1 15'' sub in a sealed enclosure should be more then enough to push all the othe six 12'' kicker speakers...
o.k here is my idea. its copywritten so dont get any funny ideas...
please let me no what all of you think.. i want everybodys opionin on this one as this ight be one of my best projects yet..
oh and breakfast was good.. ( 3 scrambled eggs with peppers, onions, cheese and pastrami on a italian bread with lots of hot sauce). burrrrrrrrp......excuse me..

That'* not a new idea.
They are called passive radiators. You can also get them that are variable mass passive (VMP) which allows for you to tune the passive radiator just like you would tune a ported box.
Unless the 12"* have loose suspension I have a hard time believing that 1 15 would move them all effectively enough for it to work the way you want.
But the only way to find out is try.
