Default Wires in door

When i took the inside door panel off my 1993 to put new speakers in, there were to sets of wires. I hooked the 4x6'* i bought up to the one being used on the stock speaker. What is speaker wire for?

All 93'* were pre wired from the factory the same. That other set of wires is for the component Tweeters. Most of the SE, SLE, and the SSE/i have a 5 1/4 in the doors and a component tweeter

So, are you saying that even if your car doesn't have that smaller speaker, it will still have the wires to hook into them?

This may apply to 93 only. I know that the 93 was pre wired from the factory the same as no matter if you have a SE, SLE,SSE, or the SSEi

yes if you go and buy an aftermarket or factory delco tweeter it will be plug and play
