Where is the Monsoon amp actually located in the 2002 SSEi? - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Default Where is the Monsoon amp actually located in the 2002 SSEi?

Hi,

Was wondering if someone could tell me where the Monsoon amp is actually located in the 2002 SSEi?

And does anyone know its capabilities - channels, RMS, Max, etc?

Thanks as always!

1193 Sle will know positively.

I think it'* attached to the back of the rear seat though. On the body frame.

geez this guy cant even get my user name right.....some people....

the amp is located in the trunk all the way forward of the compartment. To gain access to the amp, you need to remove the plastic covering by undoing toe magnets and then pulling it away from the car. The amp will be on the left side and the Onstar module will be on the right

Any idea how many channels it is? watts, etc?

Thanks as always!

It is mounted to the back of the left rear seat. You have to take the plastic cover off to get to it. As far as specs, I dunno.

You have to have the Monsoon sound package or have installed an aftermarket one yourself
