cd player and rear speakers dont work
i have a 92 se with the factory rear speakers and cd player. back speaker have no sound at all i checked the connections at then speakers but that didnt work are they blown or do u think they could be unhooked at the radio. the cd player when i put in a cd while the radio is off it will make a loud clicking sound. i turn the radio off put in the cd and turn it back on and it says cd on the display but it won't play anything do u think i need to take the cd player out and take it to a shop or do u think its dirty or somethign and what bout the speakers u reckon its just a bad connection some where or do u think i need to replace them

You need to tell us a little more about the stereo setup.
Is it stock?
Is it a CD changer? 6, 10, or 12 disk?
Now if it'* a stock CD changer they make a clicking sound for every CD they could have i.e. 6 clicks on a 6 disk changer and 12 clicks on a 12 disk changer.
This is normal it'* checking for CDs in each tray.
The speakers I'd say either the fade on the HU is set to full front.
Or the connection is bad, but that could be wires cut or shorted out, disconnected, or the HU'* rear output is bad.
I highly doubt the speakers are blown if it'* a stock system. Also if they did blow there would have been a really nice smell and it lingers for some time especially in a car.
Do the speakers have a strong distinctive burnt electrical smell?

Oops sorry, if the HU is saying there is a CD, you have changed to CD mode, the HU indicates that it'* playing the CD, but no sound I'd say check the connection behind the HU.
I ask about all the steps even if they seam like "well duh, I've done that" just cause I get the "Oh I didn't think about that part." all the time when troubleshooting computers.

I have almost the same problem...
I have a '93 w/ the tape deck. My rear speakers do not work at all. I checked all connections...behind radio and speakers. Everything is tight. Could it be something in the radio itself or maybe bad wires. One of the speakers has been out for over a year now. And the other followed a few weeks ago. Everything is stock.
