My buddy wants to buy my system. I was thinking about getting these subs http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...se+SW8210.html, with this amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...MRP-M2000.html.

to be honest that amp is a lil spendy for the power. AQ2200D is cheaper and does more RMS power plus has a great rep. AQ>alpine

Yes but the audioque does that amount of power at 1 ohm which is harder on your electrical system. And those subs are single 4 ohm voice coil and the lowest i can hook em up is 2 ohm. And im going to build a ported box to the exact specs that those subs require, all 0 gauge, and a yellow top battery, maybe a HO alt. if need it.

Also whats the reason for having a bigger magnet. The type rs have a 109 OZ magnet and the Eclipse'* have a 58 OZ mag.

Its prolly a double stack 58oz magnent. Which would be 118oz. May i recommend something?
Just from past experience... Look around on ebay/craigslist for a 1990'* PPI amp. Will outperform modern amps easily for the same price. And are more reliable.
1980'* PPI http://cgi.ebay.com/PPI-2300M-RARE-O...item35aa2a1da7
1990'* PPI http://cgi.ebay.com/PPI-PC4100-4-cha...item255b3934d1

I have found that the Not so new High Power amps like PPI, Orion, Soundstream, RF, are much more powerful, reliable, better sound quality, easier to fix, ect than new powerhouses.
I had a PPI pcx2400 amp http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...I+PCX2400.html and would smoke my friends competition system with 3000 watts of Rockford Fosgate power. and my system was so reliable. I could bump 24/7 until my subs popped. That amp was UNBELIEVABLE! blew 2 2200w subs with the gain below 1/4 gain and bass boost off.

Ive seen birth sheets for the alpine MRP-M2000 and they have ranged anywhere from 2254 watts to 2500 watts at 2 ohms so i think that will be enough for me. I trust alpine to be reliable, its the most powerful amp they make. And those subs say they have a 58 OZ triple stacked magnet.
