I have the 5 1/4 infinty kappa perf'* up front with the dynamat door kit,and your right the midbass is kinda weak, but the high'* are amazing.I went from 61/2 kicker resolutions in QLOGIC kick panels in my old monte ss and the midbass rocked, 1" in mid drivers makes a pretty big difference,If i had to do it all over again i would have mcguvered some 61/2'* in the door

Whoa, a surprising number of people use Infinity

I have Reference 505cs, and mounted my tweeters on the a-pillars
I agree with the bass output. Its really weak... Othe rthen that they aer amazing for highs. Just cross them over and you got crystal clear vocals. I was disappointed with the bassoutput though.. But thats alright im getting subs

are the rockford fosgate components any good? im not really serious about sound quality, i think the stock sounds decent but lacks bass which will be remedied with a sub in the near future. i basically am looking for pretty good sound (better than stock) without blowing the bank.

Oh, and yes, be sure to spend at least an extra $30 for some dynamat -I have have the Dynamat extreme 10"x10" speaker kit behind the woofers in the front door and not only does it help the sound quality, it keeps it in -with my stereo cranked up almost all the way I can hardly hear it outside of the car, but when I open the door it is pretty damned loud -with the windows open you can hear the stereo clearly over 1 block away and with the trunk and doors open it can be heard over 3 blocks away -Mom and dad made sure to let me know when I got home from the volley ball court.
I am only running off the deck for power to all speakers except the sub.

I thought those were mainly to keep dust and moisture out of your speaker and
that you didn't gain any sound quality from those?....??....?
