Default Voulume adjuster died...

my volume adjuster died, so now im stuck using the EQ as the volume which is a pain...the mute still works when you press it, should i be looking for an new system for it or should I just try to fix it?

One other thing was that it was a cassettte and i kinda want a cd player
did they come with both?

the 92-93 radios had a problem with the Volume **** going bad...you should be able to find a 92-93 casette and swap the parts...the CD player is rather rare and get big dollars if they are sold

also if you replace with an aftermarket unit you will not have the DImming in the ECC

You cannot repair it yourself.

I tried to fix one for another member and realized very quickly it wasn't worth it. He bought a replacement from a member here.

randman1 has swapped volume *****. You've gotta be hella good at soldering because there are six pins that must be simultaneously removed from the circuit board.
