Well ive been trying to set my system up for a while now (12" Type R, Hifonics Apollo amp) was having voltage issues and amp would cut out. Was worried my amp was having issues. So we hooked up my sub and amp in my buddies car and it hit hard and clear. SO.. almost positive its a ground issue. I need new RCA(aka patch cable) also. BUT if its not a ground issue then its a charging system issue.. which would be bad because spending money is bad. lol. But im temporarily releaved. Prolly gonna sell my Type R.. and Get these 2 audiobahn alum12n'*. And larger amp in the future.. But it sounded good with the One Type R in a large slot ported Box tuned to 33hz i believe, powered by a Hifonics Apolla Son Of A Boltar amp 500x1 at 4ohms (2 ohm stable) but wont be winning any SPL'* but it'll do for now.

make your own ground anywhere in the trunk..therefore the amp is on its own ground and its not sharing any volts or anything with any of the other elctronics in the car

I think im going to tear all my carpet out tomarrow and do this right. If i cant find a ground i am happy with i will drill a hole and put a bolt threw it and use that.. Know that im thinking about it... It could be my sub out on my deck.. maybe they are bad.. hmmmm

Umm, that'* exactly what I've done with every car audio install. I used a self tapping screw. I sanded off the surface in the near vicinity somewhere in the trunk, put a terminal on the wire, and screwed it in with a self tapping screw. Never came back to haunt me again.

I unbolted my trunk latch took a grinder to it.. and used that as my ground. That was the ticket. Houston we have bumps
