Thats gotta suck. I hope Indiana never does this. Ive seen cars with the sides tinted dark, but left the back window stock.

I have one of those cars with the sides dark and back stock. Its my Cavalier, not because of law or anything, I tinted it myself and the back was a PITA so I left it.

All depends on where you live. Chicagoland is really cracking down on tinters, Nothing on front windows and 6in on windshield. The rears you can do as dark as you want, so that'* what I did. 8% on rear 3 windows, Had to break the law and put 50% on the fronts With the back so dark you really can't tell my fronts are tinted. Looks good, I miss my old dark all the way around windows, had 35% which isn't too dark on my Aurora and LOVED how it looked. Never got pulled over in three years with it either than one day it happened, oh well, pay the $75 and be on my way, Three more times in 3 months and I learned my lesson,
Just tint the fronts lighter.

Don't move to my state.....

RHODE ISLAND TINT LAWS
The Rhode Island code specifies that vehicles must comply with the following aftermarket tint regulations:

-FRONT SIDE WINDOWS may not have any tinting.

-BACK SIDE AND REAR WINDOWS may not have any tinting.

-WINDSHIELDS may be tinted to the AS1 line with non-reflective film.
