I just thought I'd get this off my chest in forum instead of on the road. Some jackass decided he'd be bright and basically break into my car (although I don't know quite how seeing as how the windows weren't open or broken), swipe my stereo along with my cd collection. All this while my car was sitting in a university parking garage patrolled by cops once in a while. It was only 6 months old, and that cd collection was the second one i've had lifetime. Life sucks.

Since I'm actually studying insurance, I know now that they will not cover any aftermarket audio equipment or cd'*. It sucks. And to answer the previous question, NO, the university does not have security cameras in the damn garage. I'm going to suggest that they do that. Also, I've been checking the nearby pawn shop to see if the butthead decided to turn it in for money. We'll see how that goes, but for now, I'm left with the remote that it came with and lack of good music in my ears.

I would consider that except I only have liability.

When my after market HU was stolen (3 or 4 cars ago) insurance covered it. Basically, what they said was they would cover anything physically attached to the car. Anything just in the car (Cds, tools, etc) required renter'* or homeowner'* insurance.
