Default Swapping cd player components: 94+ into 93

Has anyone ever tried to swap the cd unit from a 94+ cd player into a 92/93 player? I'm talking about just the cd component like in the center of the picture here. I have no clue what the inside of the newer player looks like.

Bump. I would really like to know if the 94+ player has a cd unit that could fit into these older ones and work.
