Default Suggestions for replacement speakers for my 1994 SSEi

I want to install a stereo system from my 1994 lexus gs300 in my 94 SSEi. I have a box with 2 JL 10" subs, an alpine cva-1000 video/stereo head unit, a alpine crossover/eq, a 1000 watt alpine amp for the subs and a separate smaller amp for the mids & hi'*. I need mids and highs for the front and rear. Would 6x9'* fit in the speaker compartments behind the backseat, near the rear windshield? What size speakers will fit in the stock speaker compartments in the doors? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

5.25" Midrange on the doors and a 1.5" Tweeter are stock on the front doors

the rears are a DVC 6X9 and the same 1.5" tweeter are in back IF you have the Gain slider below your radio....of not then you have a regular 6X9

Sweet! I do have a gain slider. So I need 4 1.5" tweeters, a pair of 5.25 mids, and a pair of 6x9'* without the tweeters(one-Way). Or I could not get a pair of the 1.25" tweeters, and get some 6x9'* that are two-way. What would you suggest?

you would def need the 5.25 in the doors....the size of the tweeter doesnt matter, there are always brackets to make em fit .....as for the rears i did a componet set and ditched the 6x9 and used a 6.5" and a 1" tweeter in the back and love it

I have the same speaker set up with the slider up front to control the bass of the rear speakers. Now I used 5.25" speakers up front and 6x9" three way speakers on the decklid behind the seats. That is standard speaker sizes for the bonneville. I asked if there was a way to put 6.5" speakers in the front doors but you cannot because the where the speakers are is the exact size of the speaker for the doors.

I have 6.5 inch components in the front with 1" silk tweeters. Love them.

How much are you looking to spend on replacement speakers??

I don't care, price is not an issue. I just want to be able to bang it loud and clear, without making too many mods.

I went with 6.5" and I will likely never go back to smaller speakers...or stray from CDT. I just love how they sound.

I went with Altec Lansing 3-way 6x9" in the back and Altec Lansing 5 1/4" component speakers in the front in my 1992 SSEi. The bass is so incredible from the 6x9s that I dont even need to have subs. Check out my car domain page http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2305599
